The George is hosting “A Gentlemen’s Really Good Night Out” in July to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care UK.
Last year’s event raised £360 for the charity, and event promoter Sarah Storey told the Doings that she and event organiser Jeff Petitt hope to raise even more this year.
“We are aiming much higher!” she declared.
The event will be held on the evening of July 19, and will include traditional pub games such as pool, darts, crib and putting – with a prize for the winning player. Registration for the event must be before 6pm on the day, no later.
Entrance fee for the event is £5, and a raffle will take place on the evening as well, with tickets available from next week (after Doddington Carnival) at The George.
