Earthquake strikes the region

Posted on

Earthquakes are always a frightening thought, naturally we don’t get them too often here in the UK but according to the US Geological Survey an earthquake measuring up to 3.8 on the Richter scale soured through the East Midlands last night.

There have been no reports of any activity in the village so far when the minor quake happened at around 10:25pm last night (28th January 2015) but reports suggest that the tremors could be felt as close to us as Hampton Hargate in Peterborough.

Did you feel or hear anything unusual near you? Drop us a comment if you or anyone you know heard or felt the activity.
